A review of judges’ lodgings was carried out in 2000. It looked at the operation of the lodgings and compared them with alternative forms of accommodation providing appropriate standards of security, privacy and comfort, taking account of their location and usage. A report to the Lord Chancellor was published in 2000.
Volume one of the review comments on the current organisation and makes proposals for change. Volume two contains detailed data sheets about individual lodgings.
A report on the costs and use of judges' lodgings from 2001 to 2006 was produced in 2006.
