» No 1/2001 - The introduction of a question on ethnic background into the Civil Justice System - by Sarah Candy and Vanessa Stone of BMRB Qualitative

This qualitative study, the first from the Departments specific programme of research on diversity issues, focuses on the practical aspects of the collection of ethnicity data from users of the civil courts. It recommends that a standardised monitoring approach be adopted across the civil justice jurisdictions, but that any system should first be piloted.
