The impact on the environment through procurement can be significant. In our commitment to minimise the impact, the DCA continuously reviews its processes to ensure that as a department we are in line with the government policy on environmental issues across Whitehall.
The reviews that are commonplace will revolve around us as a department encouraging suppliers, contractors and manufacturers to be more proactive in their use of environmentally friendly goods at competitive rates. This will also involve working in partnership with the contractors ensuring that statutory regulations and codes of practice are being adhered to whilst working on DCA premises.
