CLS Direct is an easy-to-use service that can help you deal with any legal problems. It provides free information, help and advice direct to the public on a range of common issues. The site is published in a range of languages to ensure access to the whole community.

Commission - Telephone Advice Pilot Project and Public Information leaflets
As part of the government's drive to improve access to justice, the Legal
Services Commission (LSC) is funding telephone advice lines in particular
areas of England and Wales where few sources of publicly funded advice
are currently available. You can find details of the services, their telephone
numbers, and where they are available on this site. All of the services
offer confidential independent advice provided by qualified solicitors
or advisers, and quality assured at the 'Specialist' level by the LSC.
The services cover a number of topics of law, such as Debt, Education,
Employment, Housing and Welfare Benefits. We aim to reach people who would
find it difficult to access existing publicly funded advice. You can also
access a number of public information leaflets which will tell you more
about how to access legal help.

FEVR - Legal assistance to victims of accidents at home and abroad
The site provides essential initial information on the legislative and administrative aspects in the various European countries, for road victims who had an accident outside their home country. A list of addresses of organisations who can provide further information or assistance to these victims is also given.
Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority
The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority is a Non-Departmental Public Body which administers the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme throughout England, Scotland and Wales. It is now possible for victims of violent crime to apply online for compensation.
