European Parliamentary Elections 2004

The documents listed below give information and background about the European Parliamentary elections held on 10 June 2004.

This year's elections include a number of factors which will apply for 2004 only. In particular, four of the nine English European Parliamentary electoral regions will be running pilot schemes to test all-postal voting.

In addition, in England and Wales, local government and Greater London Authority (GLA) elections will be combined with the European Parliamentary elections and take place on the same day.

Local government and GLA elections are the responsibility of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) and associated Statutory Instruments relating to these elections can be found on the ODPM website
