Biography

Barbara Moorhouse started as Director General of Finance at the Department for Constitutional Affairs from 7 March 2005.

Previously, she worked as European finance director at Courtaulds plc 1986 -1990, regulatory director at South West Water plc 1990 - 1995, European finance director at Johnson Controls inc 1996 - 1997 and group finance director at Morgan Sindall plc 1997 - 1998. From 1998 to 2000 she had interim executive appointments at Jigsaw plc, Energis plc and Mondex International. Then she was group finance director for Kewill Systems poc 2000 - 2002 and chief finance office for Scala Business Solutions NV 2003 - 2005.

Barbara is a fellow of the Chartered Institute Management Accountants and an associate member of Association of Corporate Treasurers.
