The Law Commission keeps the law under ongoing review. It publishes consultation papers that invite comments on proposed reforms to the law and reports that contain recommendations for the reform. These reports are presented to the Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs and Lord Chancellor and are laid before Parliament. The main areas covered are: Commercial and common law, criminal law, housing and administrative justice, property and trust law and statute law.
