The Gender Recognition Act provides for a Gender Recognition Panel to assess applications from transsexual people seeking legal recognition in their acquired gender. This consultation exercise seeks comments on the fee regime for applications to the Panel. The proposed Fee Order will prescribe three bands of fee that an application will be subject to depending on the applicant's "relevant income". Applicants in receipt of certain entitlements will not have to pay the fee.
This consultation closed on Friday 17 December
