Proposed Changes to Civil Appeal Rules

September 2005

[CP 20/05]

This consultation proposes changes to the civil appeal rules in two areas. It proposes to restrict the current automatic right of renewal to an oral rehearing in the Court of Appeal where permission has already been refused on paper. It also proposes to cap costs in appeals and transfers from the small claims track to higher tracks.

This consultation closes on 2 December 2005
