The Lord Chancellor and the Lord Chief Justice are supported in their new joint responsibilities for judicial complaints and discipline by the OJC, which is an associated office of DCA.
The OJC's role is to handle judicial disciplinary matters, including complaints about judges received from members of the public. It also deals with complaints about tribunal members and magistrates referred by the relevant Tribunal President (where there is one) or Magistrates' Advisory Committees for consideration by the Lord Chancellor and the Lord Chief Justice.
