Devolution

The Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA) is responsible for the overall management of relations between the UK Government and the devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

With the three territorial departments we advise Whitehall Departments on the devolution settlements and act as a Secretariat, with officials from the devolved administrations, to the Joint Ministerial Committee. We also provide the UK side of the Secretariat for the British-Irish Council.

You can contact us by email.

Whilst remaining distinct entities in their own right, the Scotland and Wales Offices are now also under the DCA umbrella.
